Synopse

From hardcore party to full-time fatherhood: Jordan Firstman’s directorial debut is as wild as it is moving and was one of the most popular films in Cannes this year. The life of washed-up New York underground party promoter Peter goes out of kilter when he unexpectedly has to take on the responsibility for his son, of whose existence he had hitherto known nothing. Confronted with the new situation, he sees himself forced to reconsider his life and meet the demands of a role completely alien to him – and at the same time save his career.

Jordan Firstman is a film-maker, comedian, singer and actor, for example in the series I Love LA. He gained renown for his viral social-media videos during Corona. Club Kid is his debut feature and had its premiere in Cannes in the section Un Certain Regard.
