Synopse

In his second film, Lukas Dhont tells the disturbing story of a close friendship and won the Grand Jury Prize at Cannes in 2022. The two 13-year old boys Léo and Rémi are best friends and as close as brothers. They spend every free minute together, trust each other implicitly, share everything and sleep side by side in Rémi’s bed. On the threshold to adulthood, their relationship starts to change and the comments around them about their closeness start to drive a wedge between them. Above all Léo withdraws – with tragic consequences.

Regie

Lukas Dhont is one of the most important new voices in European Queer Cinema. The Belgian director won several international awards with his debut Girl and his second film Close (FFHH 2022).
