Roque comes to Buenos Aires to study and waists his time at parties and with girls until he falls in love with Paula, an assistant professor. From her he gains insight in university politics. Roque, who never held a lot of interest in official academic life, starts to embrace the strategic manoevering, even more, as he meets faculty member Alberto Acevedo. Learning more and more about the secrets of campaigning and lobbying, Roque sees himself on his way to become a student leader.
SANTIAGO MITRE (*1980) is one of Argentina's most respected film directors. His films The Student (2011) and Paulina (2015) won many awards, including at the Locarno Festival and Cannes. The Summit is his third feature.
