Synopse
Breath-taking island landscapes are the backdrop for this road movie set in the Maltese folk culture of the għana. Mar is ready to leave Malta and her mother’s death is her ticket out: she now has three plots of land she can sell. On the journey to claim her inheritance, Mar meets Nenu, a fiery 80-year old singer, whose lively folk music draws her in to the colourful traditions of the island. As their unexpected connection deepens, Mar begins to see her home with different eyes, torn between the promise of a new life and the price of leaving her roots behind.
