Synopse
A feminist parable from Brazil examines the revolutionary potential of bodily lust. A visual and sensual ecstasy. By an abandoned railway line in the middle of nowhere, sex worker Rúbia and her colleagues offer their services. But then men with lanterns appear, self-proclaimed moral guardians, who hunt down the prostitutes. Rúbia flees and finds shelter at Margô’s, the mysterious madame of a secret brothel. It is a refuge for women who are fighting for the survival of their souls. Rúbia decides to stay. And while she roams the corridors of the bordello, she discovers a secret that has been hidden for hundreds of years.

Denise Vieira is a Brazilian film maker and architect. Her shorts have been shown at numerous festivals and won many awards. You know me, now forget it is her debut feature and won Best Debut at the FIDMarseille festival.
