Synopse
A family portrait with surreal touches: Father, mother and child all have different ideas about their future. Toprak longs to flee her dismal existence in Turkey. She is allegedly working on her first novel, but prefers to play online games with her ex. Meanwhile, Toprak’s mother is set on living out her childhood dreams through her daughter. Father Melih on the other hand is having problems getting used to a retirement full of boredom after a career at the Natural History Museum. Unexpectedly, things start moving, almost as if all three were visited by the fading opportunities of their past!
Regie
Pinar Yorgancioğlu, born in Ankara, did her Master’s in Film Direction at Columbia University. Her short films have been shown at numerous international festivals. Those Who Whistle After Dark is her debut feature.
