Synopse

Mostly filmed using amateur actors and with a lot of room for improvisation, the film tells of the struggle by Yemenite women to survive. Layal has a petrol station only for women – a safe haven in a country racked by war. The rules are simple: no men, no weapons, no politics. When Layal’s younger brother is called up for military service, she meets her long alienated sister again. While her brother wishes for mothing more than to break free of his environment and become a "man", the two women together try and save the one life they can.
