Synopse
Ostracized and left to fend for herself in harsh Alpine country: a powerful drama about a woman’s liminal experience. In the lead role, Nina Hoss is thoroughly convincing with her precise, deeply human portrayal. Hanna (Nina Hoss) is a doctor who has lost everything thanks to a contagious illness. She is both infected by and a carrier of the virus and is thus excluded from society. She flees to the mountains and becomes a lone wolf – until one day she meets a young woman who is also an outcast. This encounter changes everything and the two women decide to try and cross the Alps and head South, where a life in freedom still seems possible.

Mariko Minoguchi’s debut film Mein Ende. Dein Anfang. (2019) won numerous awards. DIE ANDERE SEITE is her second full-length film.
