Synopse
What if your life no longer feels like it’s yours any more? A summer’s day between freedom, motherhood and the longing to start again. On July 4th, writer Julia (Alicia Vikander) is preparing a party in New York. Since her father’s death, she has stopped writing and while she roams the city she keeps coming across traces of a life she once had or could have had. At the same time, young Taylor (Victoria Pedretti) is struggling with three children, an infant and exhaustion that no one else seems to register. The paths of these two women cross only fleetingly, but their lives contain the same question: when one is only there for others, what remains of oneself?
