Synopse
A finely nuanced, intense portrait of the young generation in Italy during the Berlusconi era. Palermo, 2012. 16-year old Giulio comes from a wealthy family, but fritters away his days. He wrote off school ages ago because he has long since given up on a future worth living. Everything changes when he meets Ketty – an unpredictable girl who lives for the moment. Her self-confidence shatters the monotony of Giulio’s life. Their friendship becomes a safe, carefree refuge, far away from controlling grown-ups.
Regie
Giovanni Tortorici comes from Palermo. His debut feature Diciannove was shown in 2024 at FilmFest Hamburg and won the NDR young talent prize. Ketticè is his second film.
