Synopse
The meteoric rise of the tabloid The Sun: Danny Boyle’s new film is a frenetic rollercoaster ride about a radical reorientation that crosses every journalistic boundary in the name of scandals and entertainment. In 1969, the Australian media magnate Rupert Murdoch (Guy Pearce) takes over the ailing daily newspaper The Sun and sets out to overtake the powerful Daily Mirror within a year. He appoints Larry Lamb (Jack O’Connell) as editor-in-chief, a journalist who doesn’t take the conventions of his profession all that seriously. By any means necessary, the duo attempts to make the impossible possible – and transforms the traditional daily newspaper into Britain’s most controversial tabloid.
