Synopse

From a cardboard sign in the street to the podium of the UN Climate Summit: a portrait of Greta Thunberg. »Skolstrejk för klimatet« – school strike for the climate. With this poster began the improbable story of the girl that became the climate change icon Greta Thunberg. She created a movement, at first among her contemporaries, which then as Fridays for Future became a new global eco-revolution. Nathan Grossman’s portrait concentrates not only on the key medial moments of the journey, but also allows insights in Greta’s life out of the spotlight. It shows an introverted teenager who doesn’t seek the spotlight because she wants to be there, but because of her convictions.
