Synopse
The sound of the Andes: A poetic acoustic journey in which dream and reality, present and past blend together. The Mexican sound artist Adela travels to the remotest parts of the Puruvian Andes to make a sound map of endangered languages. Every night the 50-year old listens to the tapes she’s made before she perpetuates them in the ancient Inca knot writing system. Altitude sickness and lack of sleep, as well as worries about her grandmother’s health, cause Adela to plunge ever deeper into an abstracted world of sounds, voices and stories which take her back to her childhood.
