Synopse
"August Sun" interweaves the stories of three people in August 1996 as the Sri Lankan cricketers approach the World Cup final in Lahore and peace talks with the rebel Tamil Tigers are floundering. A Muslim boy is driven from his home by the rebels. A soldier visits a brothel to find his sister working there. A young woman searches for her lost husband. "The heroes risk everything for what they feel is happiness," says director Prasanna Vithanage.
