Synopse
ESSAY A striking montage of voiceovers and archive material illuminates the life of critic, film maker and activist Michèle Firk. From WW2 to the Algerian War, from the film school lecture rooms to the editor’s office of film magazine "Positif" to the guerilla wars in Latin America: in a constant clinch about art and politics, Firk feared neither convention nor opponents in her short, extraordinary life. In Paris, Guatemala and the Cuba of the Castro-Guevara era, she was a fighter for the relationship between activist cinema and political struggle.
