On 3 October 2025, FILMFEST HAMBURG once again celebrated the popular Day of Free Entrance – and it was a great success. Numerous Hamburg residents took the opportunity to experience films from around the world on the big screen free of charge.

With this initiative, the festival aimed to give everyone the chance to enjoy cinema as a shared space for connection and excitement. Tickets were, once again, in high demand this year and were released in stages to ensure that as many visitors as possible could enjoy a free trip to the cinema.

FILMFEST HAMBURG would like to extend its sincere thanks to all visitors and partner cinemas for the wonderful atmosphere and enthusiastic response. The Day of Free Entrance has once again proven: Hamburg loves cinema!
