One day before the official advance ticket sales, FILMFEST HAMBURG will open the ticket counter in the Levantehaus on 14 September from 6 p.m. and invites all film festival fans in advance to the “Gelbe Stunde” at Mönckebergstraße 7.

During the “Gelbe Stunde” on 14 September, tickets for the 30th edition of FILMFEST HAMBURG can be purchased exclusively at the Levantehaus for two hours. This will be celebrated with the vernissage of the photo exhibition “Klarträumer” by photographer Heike Blenk, who has accompanied FILMFEST HAMBURG with her camera since 2017. The event will open at 18:30 with a welcome by FILMFEST HAMBURG festival director Albert Wiederspiel and Dietmar Hamm, the centre manager of the Levantehaus.

The official advance sale will then begin on 15 September. This year, tickets will be available for three days, until 17 September, at the ticket office in the Levantehaus, daily from 11 am to 7 pm.

PHOTO EXHIBITION “KLARTRÄUMER”

Under the title “Klarträumer”, Heike Blenk shows portraits and snapshots of filmmakers in her exhibition.

“Klarträumer” are people who can act consciously in dreams.” In her photo exhibition, photographer Heike Blenk shows directors and actors: “They act like lucid dreamers, moving consciously outside reality in a kind of dream that they can actively shape and change.” The Hamburg photographer has been photographing filmmakers in front of and behind the scenes for many years and has also been accompanying the FILMFEST HAMBURG with her camera since 2017 for the so-called “Seitenblicke”. This results in photographs, primarily in black and white, that capture and radiate a very individual energy. Her reportage and portrait pictures have already been published in various national and international theatre and film magazines.

Heike Blenk’s exhibition “Klarträumer” can be seen at Levantehaus until 8 October. The vernissage is on 14 September at 6 p.m. in the presence of the photographer and takes place together with the FILMFEST HAMBURG pre-sale and the “Gelbe Stunde”.
