Between Us

Story

A murder out of nowhere and from one second to the next one’s former life is no more. An intense drama tries to shed light on a very dark subject and picks its way through a jungle of speculation and insinuation. Ilyas and Yasemin are a couple – until Yasemin is found murdered in their café. Ilya’s life and that of their daughter Senna fall apart. And it defies Ilyas’ comprehension when the police begin to link both him and his dead wife to the crime. The longer the suspicions remain, the more he has to ask himself: was Yasemin really the woman he loved?

Director

KANWAL SETHI (*1971 in India) is an Indian/German director and screenwriter. In 2011, his full-length debut Fernes Land premiered. His penultimate film Once Again was released in 2019.
