Story
Anarchic cockiness and Swedish melancholy combined in an unforgettable debut feature. In a working-class area in Sweden, summer is beginning. 17-year old Laura looks after her sisters Mira and Steffi. Her flat is colourful and chaotic, but when the going gets tough, they’re there for each other. When the Social Security announces a visit, Laura has to find someone to pretend to be their mother – otherwise the girls may be separated. On a knife-edge between the euphoria of freedom and the realism of getting by on their own, the sisters defy the expectations of the grown-up world.
