Story
DOCUMENTARY “So Long, Marianne”: the biopic tells of the close relationship between singer Leonard Cohen and his Norwegian muse Marianne Ihlen. “She was the most beautiful woman I had ever seen”: it was 1960 when Marianne Ihlen and Leonard Cohen met and fell in love on the Greek island of Hydra. Their love lasted all their lives and was an inexhaustible source of inspiration for Cohen, evidence of which you can see in his songs like “Bird on the Wire”. And even after they parted and the years passed, their souls retained their invisible connection. Leonard Cohen died only three months after Marianne.
