Story
Juan, Sara and Samuel, three 15-year olds, escape their slum in Guatemala and head for the USA. On the way, they meet Chauk, a Tzotzil Indio, who speaks no Spanish and has no papers. Together, they slog their way Northwards along railway lines and in goods wagons. They presume the promised land to be on the other side of the Mexican-US border. But their journey leads them into a world of extreme arbitrariness and brutality. This rough and extremely realistic road movie celebrated an acclaimed premiere at Cannes in the series Un Certain Regard.
