Story
Catherine Breillat’s subtle adaptation of the Danish drama Königin plunges into the abyss of forbidden love. Anne is a brilliant lawyer specializing in under-age abuse victims and young people in trouble. Together with her husband Pierre and their two adopted daughters, she leads a harmonious family life in a beautiful villa outside Paris. When Théo, Pierre’s 17-year old son from a previous marriage, moves in with the family, cracks start to appear in the idyll. For Anne finds a connection to the rebellious teenager – and they begin an affair which jeopardizes everything.
