Story
Theatre director Jürgen Flimm has revamped Heinrich von Kleist’s “Käthchen von Heilbronn” (1810) into a modern-day mixture of a corporate crime thriller and love story. The story: 16-year-old Käthchen stalks successful entrepreneur Strahl and convinces him to mend his ways with love. The themes of greed, power and belief in progress which Flimm finds in Kleist’s medieval work are as relevant today as they were then.
