Story
After the international success of La La Land, director Damien Chazelle and Darsteller Ryan Gosling set out for the moon – in a thrilling biopic about the US astronaut Neil Armstrong. He’s a 20th century hero: Neil Armstrong (Ryan Gosling). In the early morning of 21st July 1969 he clambered down from the landing craft and became the first human to walk on the moon. But before this pioneering mission came years of conflict and hardship – for Armstrong, but above all for his wife Janet (Claire Foy) and his family. The American space programme was dominated by dramatic events between 1961 and 1969, until Armstrong could finally say the famous words: “This is one small step for (a) man, but a giant leap for mankind.”
