Story

RECOMMENDED FROM AGE 9: The name Felix means “the happy one”, which fits pretty well to the young South African Felix Xaba. But among his rich fellow pupils at his new private school he feels an outsider. A jazz competition offers an opportunity for Felix, whose father was a musician and thus has music in his blood. Having to learn to read music for his audition, he seeks help from the former members of his father’s band. But his mother forbids him to have anything to do with them and even sells his beloved sax. Why does she always react so strongly when his father mentioned? And why doesn’t she want Felix to make music? Screening on 30.09. in attendance of: Roberta Durrant (Director)
