El Topo

Story

One of the favourite films of John Lennon, David Lynch and Marilyn Manson: a gunman all in black rides with his son into a Mexican village whose inhabitants have been massacred by bandits. The campaign of revenge that follows is at the same time a journey of spiritual enlightenment and takes him into a new dimension. He has to overcome four master gunmen in a mystical landscape strewn with Eastern and Western religious and mythological symbols. El Topo is a surreal, philosophical post-Western and was banned in Germany until 2012. “A bloody, brutal and highly entertaining film” (Die Zeit).
