Story
ANIMATION The future is female: a film inspired by a feminist sci-fi short story written in Bengal in 1905. Inés, a Spanish artist, lives in India and comes across a short story »Sultana’s Dream« by Rokeya Hossain. The tale takes the reader to Ladyland, a place where women rule and men live in seclusion and are responsible for the housework. Ines is fascinated by the author and her vision – and sets out on a journey through the country to find the legendary place where women can live in peace.
