Story

A mixture of archive material and numerous newly-filmed interviews, Oliver Schwabe’s entertaining documentary tells the story of the legendary Hamburg music club Onkel Pö. The portrait of a unique jazz and pop institution and the protagonists of the then Hamburg scene from Udo Lindenberg to Otto Waalkes, Inga Rumpf to Al Jarreau and Olli Dittrich to Peter Urban. A look back at a creatively fecund period.

Director

OLIVER SCHWABE (*1966) has made numerous documentaries. Three of his films, "Bienvenue im Kleidermarkt" (2012), "Die Höhle von Eppendorf" (2016) and "Die Liebe frisst das Leben" (2019) have been shown at FILMFEST HAMBURG.
