Paramedics Freddy Kowalski (Tobias Moretti) and Emile Ramzy (Fahri Yardim) are an ambulance crew in Hamburg. They spend their nights transporting accident victims, emergency patients and pregnant women across blocked crossroads, through red lights and up the wrong sides of streets, in often hair-raising manoeuvres. They love the breathless races through the night and their roles as blue-light lifesavers. On one call, they witness a murder and instead of looking the other way decide to get involved. In doing so, they attract the attention of a ring of international arms dealers. The lifesavers now have to fear for their own lives. Breath-takingly tense thriller about the shadowy side of Hamburg.
