Story
9.year old Mathilde is a loner, without a single friend at school. Since her parents’ separation, she’s lived with her mum (Noémie Lvovsky), a mentally shaky, depressive woman who can scarcely take responsibility for herself and whose manic phases often end in impulsive, weird escapades. But Mathilde tries hard to live with her mother’s quirks. Director Noémie Lvovsky tells a very personal tragi-comic story with great affection for her characters and fairy-tale magic.
