Story

Agnes, a servant in the house of the county sheriff, is constantly sexually harrassed by him and treated with contempt by his wife, who believes Agnes is seducing him. Agnes falls in love with Natan, a young homeopathic doctor, hated by the sheriff and banned by law from practising medicine. Agnes moves in with Natan. From that moment she is entangled in a fatal web of events, which ultimately lead to her becoming the murderess of the man with whom she had hoped to find happiness.
