Story
In 1974, students in Beirut demonstrated against a rise in education fees and for 37 days occupied the university offices. The Lebanese student revolt is the starting point of this impressive film on the core values of democracy and revolution. Along with an extremely accurate reenactment, it includes theatre improvisations in which political activists of today interpret the actions of the student leaders of ’74. The simplicity of composition allows the audience a clear view of the debates and the passionate, intelligent and sometimes gruelling turns they take when they lose themselves in ideological isms. How does one change the world? This question was never more important than it is today. Screening on 27.09. in attendance of: Rania Rafei (Director), Raed Rafei (Director)
