Do You Love Me?

Story

A lovingly detailed, semi-autobiographical coming-of-age story about taking leave of the illusions of childhood. Ukraine, a year before the collapse of the Soviet Union. 17-year old Kira is a budding actor, which she proves without inhibition in her bedroom mirror to the strains of »Venus« by Bananarama. In a period which has come to be known as »Perebudova« or »rebuilding«, her life is about to undergo a breakthrough – while her family and the country she lives in starts to fall apart.

Director

TONIA NOYABROVA (*1983 in Kyiv) attended the National University of Culture and Art in Kyiv. At the Odessa international film festival in 2018 she was voted best Ukrainian director.
