Story
Two brothers take their leave of their father who has emigrated to Luxemburg: inspired by his own experiences, Antonio Lukich tells a colourfully comic story which reveals much about Ukraine after independence. There are many beautiful places to die. Luxemburg isn’t one of them. Whatever: dying in Luxemburg is very expensive. When the twins Kolja and Vasja – one an (over)honest policeman, the other a petty criminal – learn that their long-absent father is dying in Luxemburg, they set out to see him one last time. Will the man they meet still be the hard-as-nails father they remember?
