Synopse
Aïcha (Sophie Nélisse) is an angry young woman. Angry with her mother, who has thrown her stepfather out. Angry with her stepfather, because he's left her behind. Angry with life. Most of the time, she roams the streets of Montreal, risking getting beaten up. One day, she meets Baz, a musician twice her age – and falls head over heels in love. Although Baz doesn't feel the same way, she is prepared to do anything and everything for their future together. Worst Case We Get Married is the unvarnished portrait of one girl's painful search for an emotional footing, with a fantastic performance from Sophie Nélisse.
Regie
LÉA POOL (*1950) emigrated in 1975 from Switzerland to Quebec. Since 1978, she has worked as a director, both of documentaries and feature films. Worst Case We Get Married is the film adaptation of the eponymous bestseller by Sophie Bienvenu.
