Synopse

Wet napkins are put through the mangle, entangled bras are removed from the washing net, tumble dryers hum amongst the steaming and the hissing. Tanja, Gerti and Monika combat dirty laundry with water and soap. After 20 years of toiling in the laundry, Monika lives on a salary that amounts to a monthly 150 euros after deduction of her rent and the costs for power and running water. A loving documentary on the unnoticed heroes of everyday life, and on human dignity in the era of globalization.
