Synopse
Karen Shakhnazarov already thought of making a film of Anton Chekhov’s "Ward No. 6" more than 20 years ago. He had even decided on a main actor: Marcello Mastroianni. 20 years later his wish has come true, this time with Vladimir Ilyin in the lead role. Filming was completed in all but five weeks and took place in a real psychiatric clinic near Moscow. A supposedly healthy doctor discovers the beginnings of his own insanity…
