Synopse
Gaspar Noé tells a moving story about an ageing couple, with typical stylistic idiosyncracy: the picture is split in two halves – on the one side we observe the man, on the other the woman. A couple in a flat in Paris. He (Dario Argento) is a film journalist, a passionate cinéaste who is working on a new book – she (Françoise Lebrun) used to be a therapist and is now suffering from dementia. The illness dominates the couple’s daily routine, banal activities become challenges. Occasionally, their son (Alex Lutz) pops in. The final weeks of a couple who have always been together and are now destined to die separately.
Regie
GASPAR NOÉ (*1963 in Buenos Aires) is seen as the enfant terrible of French cinema. Above all, his films Irreversible (2002) and Love (2015) were marked by controversy.
