Synopse
A typhoon lashes the Philippines, heading inexorably for the overheated capital Manila. Nothing all that unusual, and yet this storm seems to have something dark in tow. The routine preparations are overshadowed by strange occurrences, and more and more of the inhabitants show signs of unusual behaviour. Five men end up at a police station. A long night in the eye of the storm awaits them. Dodo Dayao quotes artistically from the rich tradition of horror films in Philippine and American cinema and creates a bleak pearl of the genre, in which the underlying threat becomes almost physically tangible.
