Synopse
This impressive animated drama about a painful attempt at self-realization was realized entirely in ink on paper. Quebec in the summer of 1995. Joseph is determined to stop drinking and relocates to a friend's house on the bleak coast of Gaspésie. He manages to persuade his wife to join him. At the same time, a plebiscite on independence for Quebec is being held. As houses burn and one fiery speech follows another, the couple grow closer again, reigniting both the love and the pain.
