Synopse
A whispered story: historical transition and personal metamorphosis, family cohesion und sisterly love. Vermiglio, Northern Italy, winter 1944. In the little mountain village, World War II is both far away and omnipresent. Three sisters, Lucia, Ada and Flavia, share their beds and their dreams of a life as independent women in post-war Europe. When an Italian deserter seeks refuge in Vermiglio, the social dynamic changes. Surrounded by mountains which remind them on a daily basis how small they are, the sisters seek their own paths to adulthood.
