Synopse
A forceful debut full of emotion and hope: director Chiara Fleischhacker won the renowned Thomas Strittmatter Prize for her screenplay. Jenny (Emma Nova) is unwantedly pregnant by her boyfriend Bolle (Paul Wollin). She would in fact like to have a family, but with a drug problem and a jail sentence about to start... When the youth welfare service learns of her pregnancy and allocates her Marla (Friederike Becht) as a midwife, Jenny at first reacts with rejection. However, Marla doesn’t condemn her, but sees her as the person she is inside. Gradually Jenny gains the courage to face her fears and take responsibility – for the new life forming inside her and for herself.
