Synopse

Danko Babic is a gynaecologist in his mid-thirties who has no scruples when it comes to furthering his career. He has excellent connections to the world of sex and drugs. Illegal abortins on prostitutes are part of everyday life. When his colleague Bantic and not Babic is made head of the clinic, he begins to lose control of himself and his work. Babic makes fatal mistakes, a woman dies. Then he is able manipulate the situation in his favour and replace Bantic in the top post. From now on he wants nothing more to do with the underworld. But his old "friends" need one last favour: he must abort the unwanted child of an important politician. The film is a dark portrait of the materialism of Croatian society.
