Synopse

On board a freighter crossing the Atlantic, a mobile island surrounded by endless expanses of water. A life spent between two coasts. The crew go about their daily routine. Always the same processes, the same endless hours between shifts, the sudden signal to start work. With a precise eye for detail and the enormous dimensions of the ship, this documentary essay tells the story of one crossing and illuminates a very special human microcosm in the middle of the ocean. It does without commentary, trusting in the power of its monochrome pictures. A silent spectacle of observation.
