Synopse

Belgium of all places! What does it have to offer apart from chips and chocolates? But it's Hannes (Florian David Fitz) and his wife Kiki's (Julia Koschitz) turn this year to choose where the annual cycling holiday should go. The group start out full of the spirit of adventure - the main thing is spending time together. Only when they're underway do the friends learn that Hannes is terminally ill and that this trip will be his last. At first the group is shocked and helpless, but then a tour begins, the like of which they have never experienced: crazy, exuberant, unique. Through Hennes they recognize how valuable life actually is. Blown Away is an inspirational hymn to life and friendship and portrays a journey that changes everything full of emotional depth, wit and lust for life.
