Synopse
This subtle, atmospheric coming-of-age drama about a group of young people in a Chilean commune won the prize for best direction at Locarno.Chile in the summer of 1990. A small group of drop-outs use the energy and freedom at the end of the Pinochet dictatorship to found a commune at the foot of the Andes. Teenagers Sofía and Luca and 10-year old Clara are members of the commune. But while the community is preparing to celebrate New Year's Eve, it becomes clear to Sofia, Luca and Clara that, whilst they may live far from the dangers of the city, the real challenge is life itself.
