Synopse
This breathlessly paced French revenge drama makes the madness and brutality of war almost tangible. A grandiose performance from Gérard Depardieu as a writer. Indochina, 1945. The young French soldier Robert Tassen (Gaspar Ulliel) is the only survivor of a massacre in which his brother was also killed. Since then, Tassen can only think of one thing: revenge. Driven by fury, he pushes forward into the inhospitable depths of the jungle to find the perpetrators and punish them. But when Robert meets Maï, a young prostitute, and the two grow close, he begins more and more to doubt his plan for ruthless revenge.
