Synopse

When engineer Michael Winter (Stephan Kampwirth) loses his job, he, his wife Friederike (Katharina Schüttler) and their 8-year old daughter Selma are put up in a block of flats owned by his father-in-law in St. Pauli – in the middle of what used to Chinatown. But the flat in Schmuckstraße where many years before the mysterious Ouyang died seems to be cursed. Evil spirits are at work, Friederike keeps having hallucinations. Matters come to a head when she and her father disappear. Gripping mystery thriller with a factual historical background.

Regie

After training to be a media designer, DAMIAN SCHIPPOREIT (*1978) started making shorts. Tian – Das Geheimnis der Schmuckstraße is his debut feature and was produced as part of NDR, FFHSH and nordmedia's "Nordlichter" programme.
