Synopse
After months have passed without her daughter's murderer being identified, Mildred Hayes (Frances McDormand) takes drastic steps. She paints provocative slogans on three billboards on the approach to town addressed to the local police chief William Willoughby (Woody Harrelson) and demanding that he finally do something about the case. When his deputy Dixon (Sam Rockwell), a mummy's boy with a propensity for violence, becomes involved, the conflict gets out of hand. Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri is a quirky comedy about the law and revenge, with a grandiose performance from a foul-mouthed Frances McDormand.
Regie
MARTIN MCDONAGH (*1970) came to international recognition in 2008 with his drama See Brügge … and die? His second film 7 Psychos (2012) was also very successful.
