Synopsis

Based on real events, a disturbing drama about an appalling scandal in the Romanian health system. Christian is an unconventional surgeon and one of the most promising young doctors at his hospital. As the protegé of the senior professor, a stellar career is just a question of time. But everything changes when a 3-year old boy dies after a routine operation. On investigating, Christian finds out that this wasn‘t the only case: presumably, very poor hygiene has been the cause of several deaths. But the deeper the young doctor delves, the more resilient the wall of silence he encounters, a wall which stretches as far as the upper echelons of the Ministry of Health.

Bio

GABI VIRGINIA ȘARGA (*1974) und CĂTĂLIN ROTARU (*1977) stammen beide aus Rumänien und arbeiten als Schauspieler·innen und Regisseur·innen. Thou Shalt Not Kill (2018) ist ihr gemeinsames Spielfilmdebüt.
